NOT ANOTHER ABC VACATION

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

You’ve done an All-inclusive vacation, spent a week on a big Boat, and have been to all the Character theme parks. Is your family looking for a new experience this summer? Here are some of our favourite alternatives to an “ABC” vacation.

DUDE RANCH: Dude ranches or guest ranches have come a long way from their rustic portrayal in “City Slickers". These interactive family vacations offer more than just horseback riding; learn fly fishing or if you want something a bit more fast paced spend a day river rafting or mountain biking. Most are located in Southern Alberta and B.C. with first class lodging.

BRING HISTORY ALIVE: Take a trip to Bouctouche, New Brunswick and visit Le Pays de la Sagouine, a theme park on a private island. Its focus is preserving local Acadian history, customs and traditions with an authentic Acadian village.

Visit Old Quebec or the Fortifications of Quebec in Quebec City, Quebec. Learn how Quebec developed under French and English regimes.

EXPERIENCE NATURE: Take a trip to one of Canada’s beautiful National Parks. Spend the night in a tee-pee, take a hike to see hoodoos, take a boat ride on Georgian Bay, canoe on a Great Lake. With 44 National Parks, each with its own unique attractions there’s one perfect for your family.

ARCTIC ADVENTURE: Experience summer in Canada’s North on an incredible wildlife adventure in Churchill, Manitoba. During July and August, thousands of beluga whales migrate into the Churchill River and the surrounding landscape erupts into colourful bloom. Get up close with the whales on a boat and zodiac tour in the river estuary, which includes a stop at Churchill’s historic Fort Prince of Whales. Then, explore the Churchill Wildlife Management Area on a full-day Tundra Buggy excursion – you may even get to see the first of the summer polar bears!

We’d love to help your family find a summer vacation that’s perfect for you! Call us at 403-812-9977 or send set up your complimentary consultation.

Happy travels,

Donna
